Today I calculated previous month expenses and did budgeting for this month. I paid my bills and checked my portfolio for accuracy. Money manager task.
I listened to The future with Chris Do podcast while I worked on my YouTube channel. He talks about done is better than perfect, and the idea of quantity over quality.
I used to not ship my work because I feel like it's not good enough and the quality is poor. I questioned who am I to do this kind of work. The result of not shipping my work is I don't have anything to show for and all the time I waited for my work time perfect is gone.
Years gone by and I haven't gotten my practice in. Without shipping my work and putting out to the world, I am not proving. I'm not honing my craft. My skill.
Listening to that episode makes me realizes I should just get my work out without worrying so much about the qaulity in the beginning. As I keep practicing my craft, it will get better with time. Just like working out. Building muscle.
Today is a good day. I've learned one thing to implement on my writing. To keep writing one day at a time. I show up to practice my craft for I am a writer.
